ATTENTION THOMPSON TAXPAYERS - TAX BILLS NOW AVAILABLE

We are delighted to inform you that, now that both the State of Connecticut and the Town of Thompson have approved budgets in place, we can issue your long awaited tax bills.  Here is the information that you will need:

The Motor Vehicle Tax Bills that you should have received in July (covering the period Oct. 1, 2016 to Sept. 30, 2017 have now been mailed out to all Thompson taxpayers.  You will have until Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 to pay them on time without any late interest penalty.  You may pay them now or later, anytime prior to Feb.2, 2018.

The adjusted second half of Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Bills have also been issued to taxpayers, and to your bank escrow account if applicable.  You will also have until Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 to pay those on time without any late interest penalty.  To clarify, the Real Estate and Personal Property Tax Bills which you are receiving now have been adjusted slightly from the payment which you made in July to reflect the new Mill Rate (27.00) which was recently approved by taxpayers.

Thank you for your patience during this long budget process.  The Tax Office appreciates your concern and your understanding.
