ATTENTION THOMPSON TAXPAYERS

The State of Connecticut and, subsequently, Town of Thompson do not have approved budgets for fiscal year July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018.  Therefore, at this time, you will be receiving the FIRST INSTALLMENT of your REAL ESTATE AND PERSONAL PROPERTY (business) tax bills issued on last year's mil rate of 26.06.  Once the State and the Town of Thompson budgets are approved, you will receive an ADJUSTED SECOND INSTALLMENT, which reflects the new approved mil rate.  This is expected to be due January 1, 2018 or to be determined when State and Town budgets have been finalized.

Please note that all MOTOR VEHICLE TAX BILLS will be mailed out AFTER the approved mil rate is set when the State and Town budgets are approved.  Please do not call or stop by the tax office to get your motor vehicle tax bill - we do not have it yet.
